What enchanting thoughts would transport you to the magical realm of Neverland? Is it the mesmerizing mermaids, wild and beguiling, who will lure you to the depths of the sea? Or perhaps the salty scoundrels, the notorious pirates, from whom you must beware the wrath of Captain Hook and the dreaded plank? Maybe it's the cunning and clever Indians, who may join the hunt? Or could it be the scruffy, loyal band of lost boys, ever ready for adventure and mischief?
The vibrant fairies, glittering with their enchanted dust, or the daring and cheeky Peter Pan himself – no matter what captures your imagination, it's time to embark on this journey! But before the ticking-clock belly of the crocodile becomes too distant, you must find a way to reach Neverland.
Enter Emma, a big-hearted girl residing in a children's hospital in London, where she battles a serious illness. Through a twist of fate, she meets Callie, an author who visits to donate books. The two become fast friends, and Callie introduces Emma to the captivating story of the fantastical island of Neverland and the enchanting Peter Pan.
Despite her father's dismissal of such "foolish fairytales," Emma is enraptured by the thrilling tale. With Callie's help and a sprinkle of leftover pixie dust, Emma embarks on a series of breathless, daring adventures, battling pirates alongside her own illness, never once ready to give up, even in the darkest of times.
Emma, the Lost Boy who is a warrior girl, believes in magic, friends, family, and, above all, love, no matter what anyone else says. This fairytale of adventure, imagination, and dreams, with a dash of Peter Pan and a whole lot of Neverland, will touch your heart, make you laugh and cry, and leave you falling in love with the strength and sweetness of one little girl determined to live her dreams to the fullest, regardless of the challenges life may bring.
In 1929, J.M. Barrie, the creator of Peter Pan, generously gave the copyright and royalties to the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, so that Peter Pan could forever care for sick children. In 1988, Prime Minister Lord Callaghan petitioned Parliament to make the Peter Pan copyright perpetual, ensuring the hospital's continued benefit from this iconic character.
Honoring this legacy, a portion of the royalties from every sale of The Neverland Girl will go to the Great Ormond Street Hospital in the U.K. and St. Jude's Children's Hospital in the U.S., so that Peter Pan may continue to look after little ones in need, as Barrie intended. Thank you for being a part of this heartwarming journey.
